Fiddle Improv Workshop with Miya Saito-Beckman

Award winning fiddle player and classical violinist Miya Saito-Beckman will offer a two hour workshop. Miya specializes in Suzuki violin instruction and also fiddle style improv. Bring your fiddle and learn some new tunes! Open to violinists of all ages/ability levels.

Background

The Redfish Music Festival (named after the Redfish Rocks Marine Reserve) hosts a week long music festival in August on the beautiful southern Oregon coast in Port Orford, Oregon.

The Festival was designed by musician Fritz Gearhart to include public concerts and an intensive week of classical music training for students studying violin, viola, and cello. In residence for the week, a faculty of internationally renowned artists will work with our students and perform in festival concerts.
