Once again, the United States Golf Association (USGA) will be visiting the South Coast of Oregon as the 5th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship will be played at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort May 22 – 29, 2019. This Championship will take place on the Old Macdonald course, with Pacific Dunes also involved for the stroke play portion. The U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship is an amateur team golf championship started in 2015. The field is made of 128 sides (teams) that compete in a 36-hole stroke play qualifier that determines the field of 32 sides for match play. The four-ball format is the most popular format in golf today. In a short amount of time, the Four-Ball Championship has become one of the most popular Championships for entry, behind the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur. http://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/championships/2019/u-s--amateur-four-ball.html#!lates
