Event Description:
The annual Port of Bandon Boardwalk Art Show is Bandon’s uniquely accessible public art display on the picturesque boardwalk in Old Town. The 2018 theme is “Salmon Dreams, Marshes and Streams.” Artists of all ages are invited to enter. The show features works by amateur and professional artists living throughout southwestern Oregon and beyond. Prizes are awarded in youth and adult categories, along with people's choice winners. The show opens Memorial Day weekend and continues through the second weekend in September. Submissions are accepted Tuesday, March 13 – Friday, May 18, at 12:00 p.m. Art boards and entry forms are available in Bandon at the Port of Bandon office, 390 1st St. SW; and Art by the Sea Gallery, 145 Fillmore Ave. SE; and in North Bend at the Coquille Tribal Administration office, 3050 Tremont St. A $10 entry fee covers the cost of art boards and prizes. Scholarship boards are available: inquire at the Port of Bandon. The 2018 show is presented by the Port of Bandon, with grant support by the Coquille Tribal Community Fund, and sponsored by the Bandon Professional Center.
